Rosecrest Tops All Other Greater Salt Lake Communities in Annual New Home Starts

High Quality Homes and Record-Breaking Housing Market Boost Master-Planned Community on Salt Lake Valley’s Southwest Bench

HERRIMAN, Utah (December 2, 2005)—Rosecrest Inc., one of the fastest growing and most successful new residential communities in Salt Lake County, initiated more new homes in the Greater Salt Lake area in the twelve months ended in September than any other community. Rosecrest started 373 new homes during the period, 51 more than the next fastest growing real estate development, according to Metrostudy, a provider of information to the housing industry.

“This shows that families value high-quality homes and well-thought out neighborhoods today,” said Donald Wallace, vice president and COO of Rosecrest. “Few housing developments can build a real community like we have. Rosecrest is a place that, by design, fosters friendships and re-creates the best aspects of close-knit, traditional neighborhoods.”

Experts say demand for new homes is still growing and new home sales are stronger in Greater Salt Lake than most other regions of the U.S, according to The Enterprise, a Utah business journal published in Salt Lake City. The Greater Salt Lake new home market broke records in the third quarter of 2005 for both closings and starts. Housing inventory increased during 2005, but so did demand for new homes. New home building increased 27 percent during the past two years, the journal said.
